Charleston Nursing Home Lawyer Nathan Hughey and South Carolina Nursing Home Abuse Attorneys at Hughey Law Firm have settled wrongful death and falls cases against nursing homes the last two days.

On Thursday, and again on Friday, we assembled adjusters and attorneys from various cities and states at Hughey Law Firm’s new office in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and were able to resolve the claims.  I took this picture before th first mediation began on Thursday.  These were meaningful in that we had Tom Wills, acknowledged as the premier mediator in South Carolina by many, at our office.  It was also the first mediations at the office.

Our clients were able to relax in a private area with their own large flat screen television and movie selection while we sat with them and negotiated the case.  Parking is convenient for all, and the setup worked out well.

We had worked each case up ahead of time and were able to show fraud in the medical records, thereby removing the limits of South Carolina’s tort reform statutes.  At the end of the week, it was nice to get those done while everyone else was partying at the lawyers convention.
